Eleonora De Pieri discovered illustration at art school: it was love at first sight! She works as an illustrator in Italy and abroad but also loves to write her own stories. She also teaches watercolour at a design institute in Verona. She dreams of living in a house in the woods with a cake always in the oven.

David Shephard

Dave Shephard lives with his family in the beautiful South Downs National Park in England, a stones throw from the coast. A love of drawing and sea swimming made the area a natural fit. Debbie Tarbett

Debbie Tarbett worked for an animation company for a number of years before becoming a freelance illustrator in 2002 and has worked on the BAFTA award-winning Maisy series. She has won two Gold Practical Pre-school Awards for her best-selling counting books. Debbie lives in Exeter with her young family. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys scuba diving, snow boarding and surfing.

Dubravka Kolanovic lives in Zagreb, Croatia. She wrote and illustrated her first book,

, when she was 18-years-old. She then studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Zagreb and has gone on to illustrate over twenty children’s books.

Duncan Beedie

Duncan is a bestselling author and illustrator who has been drawing and doodling since childhood, sprawled out on his parent’s living room carpet with felt tip in fist. He now sits upright to draw from his studio in Bristol, where he lives with his wife, daughter and demanding springer spaniel.

Ekaterina Trukhan

Ekaterina is a Russian illustrator. She graduated from Camberwell College of Arts and has since illustrated children’s books. She draws her inspiration from everyday life, mid-century illustration and the books she had when she was a child. In her spare time Ekaterina enjoys longs walks with her husband and their dog.

Elaine Field

Elaine Field grew up in Hertfordshire where she studied design. Elaine is designs a range of merchandise including children’s wear, greetings cards and children’s books. Elaine now lives in London with her husband and can be spotted cycling through the traffic on her way to circus training classes.

David Semple

David Semple was born in the North East of England in the early 70s. After studying illustration, he enjoyed a stint working in the TV and Film industry in London painting latex puppets & prosthetics! Since then, a pencil has never been far from his grasp and he has designed and illustrated characters for an impressive range of clients across the globe. He lives in York with his designer wife Kate, their three children, and Olive the dog.

David Dean

David Dean has illustrated around 140 covers over the course of 21 years, having graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BA in Illustration and an MA in Communication Design. Known for his exotic and colourful work, David works in a room surrounded by books from many different cultures, from which he finds inspiration.

Dawn Lo

Born in Hong Kong, Dawn Lo is an illustrator currently based in Vancouver, the unceded land of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. Her work has appeared in picture books, stationery, greeting cards, public art installations, murals and more! Most of her work is inspired by little, everyday moments and personal multicultural experiences. When she is not drawing at her home studio, she works at the public library where she can surround herself with more books.
