Marcelo Badari

Marcelo Badari is from Brazil and likes to create illustrations focused on ideas and characters, with pinches of humour and personal vision. His illustrations have been featured in magazines, books, posters, T-shirts, newspapers and websites in Brazil, USA and Europe. In his spare time he likes to create music and videos, and he enjoys hiking and meditation.

Maria Neradova

Maria grew up in a small town in western Slovakia and studied Graphic Design at Tomas Bata University in Zlin, Czech Republic. After obtaining her BA, she moved on to studying illustration and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, where she completed her education with an MA in Arts. She now works as a freelance illustrator.

María Perera

At a very young age María found out that there are few things in life she enjoyed as much as listening to The Beatles and drawing. When she grew up she graduated in Art History at the University of Oviedo and soon after she studied Graphic Design at the Art School of Avilés. Nowadays she still listens to The Beatles and feels fortunate to be able to do what she loves the most for a living: illustration.

Lou Kuenzler

Lou Kuenzler was brought up on a remote farm on the edge of Dartmoor, where she enjoyed a childhood of sheep, ponies, chickens and dogs. She worked as a theatre director, university drama lecturer and workshop leader before turning her hand to writing stories and plays for children.

Lou Morgan

Lou Morgan is an award-nominated author of novels and short stories for adults and teens. Her first novel, Blood and Feathers was shortlisted for the 2013 British Fantasy Awards in both the Best Newcomer and Best Fantasy Novel categories. When not writing, she tweets as @LouMorgan.

Lucy Courtenay

Lucy Courtenay worked in publishing for many years before leaving to become a full-time writer. She has contributed to a number of young fiction series, including Beast Quest. When not writing, she enjoys singing, reading and travel.

Lomp

Lomp studied visual communications and has been a freelance illustrator since 1996. He started his children’s book career by publishing books by other authors in Germany, and now both writes and illustrates his own books with publishers in Germany, the UK, France, Spain and the United States. He lives with his family in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Loretta Schauer

Loretta has illustrated a number of picture books and fiction titles for younger children. She has always loved drawing and is never happier than when she’s making something. Loretta lives in London, England, with her archaeologist husband and her hamster studio buddy, Nanook, who assists with the creative process by staring really hard at her until she gives him a treat.
