
Sean Julian enjoyed art from an early age, focusing on potato printmaking and creating plasticine dinosaurs. Years later he studied at the Mansfield College of Art, before moving to Bristol to study illustration. Being rather big and hairy himself, he was always happiest illustrating big, hairy creatures such as bears and gorillas. This naturally led to a career in childrenโs books. He now has over twenty yearsโ experience illustrating and writing for children.
After graduating with a degree in English and Psychology, Sheryl Webster worked as a primary school teacher, before taking a career break to raise her young family. This gave her the opportunity to pursue her passion for writing. Sheryl lives in Liverpool with her family.

Simon lives on the south coast of England, although he occasionally leaves to buy milk. After gaining a first-class degree in History at Exeter University, he became a barman, grew tired of the owner calling him Andy, left in order to fail a Primary PGCE, then finally stumbled upon writing (sometimes award-winning) books.
Samantha’s favourite thing about writing and editing children’s books is marvelling at how much can be said in so few words. She lives in London in a tall house with lots of stairs and has some of her best ideas while she’s on her way to the kitchen to make strong cups of tea. Her other great passion is football and she is a dedicated supporter of a team who don’t win very often.

Selina Wood has been an editor and writer of childrenโs books for over 20 years. She has written about everything from pets to time travel. She enjoys singing and gardening and works with a friendly green llama on her desk.
Sheridan Cain was born in London where she also went to school. She now lives in the east of England. She is an avid gardener and the many small creatures who visit her garden are an inspiration for her childrenโs books.
