Ros Roberts grew up when phones were attached to the wall by wiggly wires and music was taped on to cassettes. Amazing teachers encouraged her love of writing, setting her daily challenges to create poems to read to the class. She became a teacher herself; in her own classroom, free writing was a daily necessity and she felt privileged to watch the children’s progress when words flowed without boundaries. Ros loves the rain, eating brunch, tennis and TV. She loves dogs too – Texi, their beautiful Bernese mountain dog, inspired her debut book DIGGER AND ME. Ros and her family have enjoyed living abroad in Vancouver, B.C. and Austin, Texas, but she is very happy and proud to be back living with her husband and three sons in the north of England, where her roots lie.
Rebecca Harry studied design/illustration in Exeter and began her career drawing greetings cards. She has illustrated several books including the Ruby Duckling picture books with Jonathan Emmett. She lives in Cardiff with her two children.

A British illustrator based in Devon, England Richard has over 15 years experience in the creative arts and is now branching out to illustrate children’s books.

Richard is a London born illustrator with over 15 years experience as an artist, and formerly as an agent, helping to nurture many other talented illustrators. From his first commission with The Times newspaper, he hasn’t looked back! His body of work includes editorial, packaging design, and games; as well as children’s publishing, cover design, fashion and costume drawing for blockbuster films such as Lincoln, Jurassic World, The BFG and The Witches.
Richard lives near Tunbridge Wells with his wife and dog. He loves drawing and has been scribbling away since he was a tiny boy – often covering his sister’s homework with his ‘masterpieces’, much to her annoyance. Richard loves to tell stories with his illustrations, especially if they involve animals and silly things.
