Stephanie Shaw

Stephanie lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest region of the United States in Oregon. Drawing from the fields and forests of the area, she loves creating lyrical stories for the nursery. She is most influenced in her writing by having had parents who wisely filled her life with books. It is in their honor that she now writes stories for other parents to share with little ones.

Stephanie Stahl has been working in publishing for four years. Her hobbies include dancing, singing and going to the theatre.

Stephanie Stansbie

Stephanie Stansbie has been a children’s book editor since the nineties and an author since the noughties. She adores editing and writing in equal measure and has always worked on illustrated books, where the art is as important as the word. The books she has written have been translated into over 15 different languages. Stephanie lives in Oxford and enjoys yomping about with her family and friends, and playing capoeira.

Steve Metzger

Steve Metzger is the award-winning author of more than sixty children’s books, including Pluto Visits Earth! (“ABC Best Books for Children”), Detective Blue (“Librarians Choice” selection), and The Ice Cream King. He lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.

Steve Smallman

Steve Smallman worked as a children’s book illustrator for 20 years before he decided to ‘have a go’ at writing his own. Now, over 100 books later, he’s still at it! He visits schools, libraries and festivals, and paints murals too! When he’s not working, he enjoys holidays, watching TV, gardening and juggling grandchildren!

Stacey Thomas

Stacey Thomas has been drawing for as long as she can remember. She lives in a small town in the Oxfordshire countryside, where she spends her days illustrating picture books, rambling in the neighbouring woods and attempting to befriend the local wildlife.

Stacie Bradly

Stacie Bradly lives in a small flat in London surrounded by a rainbow of children's books. She loves creating new books for children and gives books to everyone she meets. When she is not working, she can be found at the theatre watching a musical or taking a walk in the woods dreaming of the Scottish Highlands.

Smriti Halls

Smriti is an internationally bestselling, award-winning children’s author, published in more than 35 languages worldwide. She began her career at the BBC and worked for several years as a writer and editor in children’s publishing and television, before taking up writing full time. She lives in London with her husband and three sons, reading, writing and eating sticky buns.

Soofiya

Soofiya’s design practice centres around illustration, visual identity and book design, with most clients tending to be in the arts, cultural and activist sector. Soofiya’s art practice and writings aim to articulate a commentary on gender, race, politics and bodies through a DIY and therapeutically informed approach.

Soofiya has worked as a lecturer in design and arts at Universities and HE institutions nationally and internationally in the UK and Xiamen, China. Soofiya is currently an associate lecture at UAL on their MA Internet Equalities course as well as a sessional lecturer at Ravensbourne and Brighton University.

Simon Philip

Simon lives on the south coast of England, although he occasionally leaves to buy milk. After gaining a first-class degree in History at Exeter University, he became a barman, grew tired of the owner calling him Andy, left in order to fail a Primary PGCE, then finally stumbled upon writing (sometimes award-winning) books.
