Abigail Hookham

Abigail Hookham started her creative career in the games industry as a concept and visual development artist, before pursuing her dream to illustrate children’s books. She has a deep-set love for creating atmospheric, colourful scenes that evoke wonder and intrigue. When not lost in a painting you might find her potting up flowers and vegetables in her garden with her husband.

Founded by the two designers Alexandre Verhille & Sarah Tavernier, L’Atelier Cartographik is a creative studio which offers visual solutions in illustrated map, data-visualization and pop up engineering.

Aaron Cushley

Aaron is an illustrator from Belfast in Northern Ireland. He loves drawing and creating work that fuels his curiosity and adventurous side. Most of his work has been influenced by experiences and the world around him. When he’s not out walking his dog he’s scribbling down sketches of thoughts and images that come to mind.

Clara Anganuzzi

Clara was raised in the Seychelles Islands, where she would draw on every surface she could find. She has always had a fond love for the sea and all types of critters, who often inhabit her drawings. Clara now spends her days doodling in her plant filled studio overlooking Bristol.

Chanté Timothy

Chanté Timothy is an illustrator who has been drawing for as long as she can remember, experimenting with movement, vibrant colour, character design and storytelling. She is a Pathways into Children’s Publishing 2019 – 2021 Alumni and can be found in several titles including HEY YOU by Dapo Adeola.

Tomekah George

Tomekah’s delicately hand-crafted illustrations have featured in newspapers, food packaging, pottery, classrooms, books and digital campaigns across the US, UK & Europe. Her work is constructed from early memories and love for Afrofuturist themes expressed through a blend of colourful and textural layers. Her handmade process continually fuels a bold style creating unique pieces that sit somewhere between a print, collage and a painting.

Jennie Cashman Wilson

Jennie’s background is in arts fundraising and working with young people, which is how she met her late husband, the acclaimed jazz trumpeter Abram Wilson. The pair worked on numerous projects together up until Abram’s passing in 2012, after which Jennie set up the Abram Wilson charity – an organisation which opens doors to the music industry for minoritised young talent.

The organisation has grown to work with over 200 performing artists and Jennie has gone on to win a WACL Future Leader Award.  This is Jennie’s first children’s book.
