Chantelle and Burgen Thorne

Chantelle and Burgen Thorne are internationally published illustrators with over 25 years experience in educational publishing. They are now focusing on picture books, taking great delight in the visual storytelling, art and text working together, every word and every image adding to the reader’s experience. They live in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Chellie Carroll

Ever since she has been able to hold chunky crayons, Chellie has loved drawing (especially, to her family’s horror, on her bedroom walls). After studying Applied Arts at the University of Derby, Chellie started working in illustration. Happily, she has never looked back.

Chellie now lives in the Peak District, not far from Stockport, with her partner and two children. She works from her home studio, where she is surrounded by beautiful countryside and a plentiful supply of tea and biscuits.

Chester Bentley

After starting off as a junior in the greeting card world many years ago and facing the challenges of modern styles Chester has now turned his hand to illustration. This opportunity within the book world it has given him a perspective on where his interests lie and so we should be seeing more of his illustration work soon!

Cassie Cook

Cassie Cook lives in London with her two sausage dogs, Ketchup and Mustard. When she's not busy writing books, Cassie is often sat dreaming of driving race cars and finding the world's greatest tiramisu!

Chanté Timothy

Chanté Timothy is an illustrator who has been drawing for as long as she can remember, experimenting with movement, vibrant colour, character design and storytelling. She is a Pathways into Children’s Publishing 2019 – 2021 Alumni and can be found in several titles including Hey You by Dapo Adeola.

Charlotte Pepper

Charlotte Pepper grew up and completed a surface pattern design degree in sunny Staffordshire. She worked in-house for a greetings cards publishing company for 19 years before taking the plunge to go freelance. Her favourite things to draw are characters, birds and anything nature-based, but she doesn’t like drawing shoes!

Caroline Plaisted

Caroline Plaisted worked in publishing for several years before becoming a full-time writer, and is published by Bloomsbury, Simon and Schuster, Piccadilly Press and Scholastic. She was born and brought up in London and now lives in Ashford, Kent.
