Malgorzata Detner is an illustrator based in Poland. She currently lives with her family, a cocker spaniel, some snails, and two rats in Warsaw. When she is not illustrating, Malgorzata enjoys family time and needle felting colourful toys.

Lula Bridgeport is an experienced editor and children’s author. She has worked on hundreds of titles during her career — from sharks to superheroes and everything in between! — and has written several non-fiction books for leading children’s publishers in both the UK and USA.

M Christina Butler was born in Scarborough. She had an idyllic childhood in the country where she spent her weekends playing on a farm among the animals. Christina has worked as a nurse, a pre-school nursery supervisor, and a governor at her local primary school, as well as writing a number of children’s books. She now lives close to York.

Lucy Farfort is an illustrator, passionate about the need for more diversity in children’s publishing. In 2017 she was awarded first prize for illustration, in Faber Children’s inaugural FAB Prize competition. Maddie Frost grew up in a quiet town and has always been inspired by simple things, like bugs and pebbles. She loves illustrating images that are very funny and silly as well as images that have a more serious or softer tone. A field day for her is putting characters in nature or in an environment where she can really embrace a particular season for a setting. Maddie lives in New Hampshire near lots of trees and dogs with her fiancé and their dog.
