Ruth Lauren

Ruth Lauren has been a teacher and worked in lots of different offices, but she likes writing best, as well as walking in the woods, cheese, orchids, going to the movies, and reading as many books as she can. She is the author of Prisoner of Ice and Snow and its sequel Seeker of the Crown and currently lives in a Victorian house in the West Midlands in England with her partner and a lot of children and cats.

Rosamund Lloyd

Rosamund Lloyd lives in London with her two boys (one son, one husband). She loves visiting museums in the big city and baking cakes in her tiny house.

Russell Julian

Russell Julian is originally from Derbyshire. He studied Illustration in Cambridge and now lives in London with his partner and three children. When not drawing or painting he likes to potter in his garden, do a bit of DIY or read a book, and he quite likes eating too. He has previously illustrated successful picture books for Scholastic and OUP. This is his first title for Caterpillar Books.

Ruth Galloway

Ruth Galloway studied art at A-level, but is essentially self-taught. She knew she was going to be an artist from the age of eight, and is now a successful illustrator of a number of picture books for Little Tiger Press. Ruth is a trained aerobics instructor and in her spare time she enjoys cookery and gardening. She is married with two children, and lives in Berkshire.

Sable Hamilton

Sable Hamilton is the pen name for Jenny Oldfield, author of a wide range of books for children and young adults – including internationally successful mini series, Beautiful Dead and Dark Angel. With Stardust Stables, she has returned to one of her favourite subjects – the glamour, the thrills and the trials of working with horses!

Sam Caldwell

Sam Caldwell is an illustrator based in Glasgow where he lives with his wife and two cats: Tonks and Luna. Sam loves inventing characters and creating images packed full of detail, texture and colour. He is passionate about animals and nature, and – when not drawing – can often be found exploring the Scottish Highlands.
