Jeanne Willis

Jeanne is an internationally acclaimed children’s author. Her work has been awarded numerous prizes, including the Red House Children’s Book Award and the Nestlé Children’s Book Prize. She was also shortlisted for the Whitbread Award in 2004. She lives in London with her husband and two children.

Jo Brown

Jo Brown has worked as an illustrator for fifteen years and her background in textile design is reflected in her love of colour, pattern, and textures. Her jolly bright images are filled with a playful sense of humour and favourite subjects include dogs, chickens and generally rebellious characters.

Hettie Cox

Hettie Cox originally hails from North London where she spends time with her family, two bunnies and cat Roxie. When she’s not researching fun facts for children’s books or looking over artwork, she’s usually curled up with a cup of tea watching an animated movie (or three!) or practising her singing.

Huw Lewis Jones

Huw Lewis Jones has voyaged many times to Antarctica, meeting all kinds of penguins. He is now a professor at Falmouth University teaching natural history and other creative things. Huw has written books about photography, mountains, and maps, but these days his stories are mostly about annoying apples and befuddled badgers. He lives in Cornwall.

Honor and Perdita Cargill

Honor and Perdita Cargill are a daughter/mother writing partnership and the authors of WAITING FOR CALLBACK and DIARY OF AN ACCIDENTAL WITCH. Originally from the Scottish Highlands, Perdita spent many years as a barrister before turning to writing fiction. Honor, having recently graduated from Oxford, is working on fiction and non-fiction writing projects as well as studying for a Masters at The Courtauld Institute. They both live in London.

Harriet Lynas

Harriet Lynas is a children’s book illustrator living in Cambridge with her husband and their son. As a child, she was a big fan of Studio Ghibli animations and later she developed a taste for mid-century style illustrations. Harriet’s inspiration comes from random things like marvellous fossils or a cone of pistachio gelato on a hot summer day.

Isobel Finn

Isobel Finn has a BFA in Fine Art and Illustration from Parson’s School of Design in Paris and a post-graduate qualification from the School of Visual Arts in New York. The Very Lazy Ladybird is her first children’s book with Little Tiger Press. Isobel enjoys travelling, photography and wildlife.

Isabel Otter

Isabel Otter is a children’s book editor and writer. When not writing, you can find her climbing mountains in muddy boots, squirrelled into an armchair with a novel and a cup of tea or tending to her potted plants.
