Sally Morgan has written more than twenty books for children on subjects including history, science and emojis. Sally loves writing and thinks it is the best job in the whole wide world. Sally lives in Minnesota, USA with her husband and two children.

Sam Hay

Sam Hay grew up in Scotland. A former journalist, she has written several children’s books including Billy Angel and Bumble the Brave Kitten. She lives with her husband, two children and several pets in a small house with a big garden.

Sam Lloyd

‘Mr Pusskins’, Sam’s first hilarious book for Orchard, won the Booktrust Early Years Award for Best Pre-School Book, was a New York Times bestseller and was shortlisted for the V&A Illustration Award and Sheffield Book Prize. She also created the brilliant Whoops-a-Daisy World series of books for Orchard, which started with ‘Doctor Miaow’s Big Emergency’. Sam has written and illustrated a number of novelty books including the Richard and Judy prize-winning ‘Calm Down, Boris’ for Templar. In 2008 Sam was Highly Commended in the Big Picture Campaign’s Best New Illustrator Awards. Sam lives in Brighton.

Natalie Barnes

Natalie Barnes writes for books, magazines, toys and even robots. When she’s not working (or reading magical realism literature), she can be found trekking through the Hertfordshire countryside with her chatty husband, two wild boys and one exceptionally polite dog called Masha.

Molly Littleboy

Molly lives in a tiny flat in London with more plants than she really has space for. She is lucky enough to have her dream job in children’s publishing, where she gets to edit, write and spend her time finding words that rhyme. Her favourite things are lazy Sundays, detective stories, and petting other people’s dogs.

Nicola Edwards

Nicola was raised by the seaside in beautiful Brighton. She loves reading, dancing, rhyming and turquoise things. She now lives with her husband and son in East London and spends her days writing and editing children’s books. She has been nominated for the UKLA 2019 award. @NicolaBookFace

Monica Saigal

Monica Saigal loves telling stories through food, enticing readers on flavourful adventures. With eleven published works, including novels, short stories and cookbooks, she delights in exploring diverse flavours of the world alongside her two sons. When not crafting tales, she’s fearlessly learning to ride a bike.

Natalie Denny

Natalie graduated from The Open University with an open degree which incorporated creative writing, and was runner up in Writing on the Wall’s ‘Pulp Idol’ 2019 competition. She is a writer, activist, tutor and freelance EDI Consultant for Anthony Walker Foundation as well as the Director of Skywriters, an award winning creative education social enterprise that supports individuals, communities and businesses. Natalie’s interests include reading, activism, travelling, live entertainment, and writing poetry and prose.
