Authors and illustrators

Jane Massey studied graphic design at Kingston University. She worked for several design agencies in London and Hong Kong before concentrating on illustration. As well as producing numerous children’s books, Jane has also created illustrations for advertising, greetings cards and packaging. Jane lives with her family by the sea in Hove.

Jamie is an illustrator from Manila. She loves to tell stories with her work, and is passionate about picture books. Her drawings are inspired by colorful scenes from everyday life, nature, and music. When she’s not working, she makes biscuits with her cats, Kiki and Popo. James Brown filled in an important careers questionnaire when he was 13 and it told him he was definitely going to be a teacher and an illustrator. And it was right! James studied Creative Writing at St Andrews (where he kept writing for children and drawing all over everything). He lives in Nottingham and draws in front of a mirror.

James Croft was born in Yorkshire and studied in Leeds, Cleveland and Wolverhampton. He mostly paints with acrylics straight from the tube, but also enjoys using pastels. James has had over twenty books published around the world, in many languages. He now lives in Brighton with his wife and two children.

Isabel studied Fine Arts at the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain. Painting for a living was her dream, and now she’s proud to be the illustrator of several children books. She works from a tiny and colourful studio in northern Spain.
