Joanne Partis

Joanne has always loved anything creative and from a young age has enjoyed painting, colouring, sticking and glueing – anything messy! Joanne studied Illustration at Loughborough College of Art and Design. She now lives in West Sussex with her husband, two boys, and two cats. Since graduating, Joanne has illustrated children’s picture books for many different publishers. She enjoys incorporating a variety of materials in her work to create bright, bold characters and loves drawing animals.

Joëlle Dreidemy

Joëlle Dreidemy was born in Saint-Avold in France. She gained a diploma in Strasbourg in 2002 and a diploma from the famous Emile Cohl School in Lyon in 2004. Joëlle lives and works in Montpellier, producing illustrations for magazines and children’s books.

John Kelly

John Kelly has been illustrating, writing, and designing books since just after the invention of the clay tablet in Ancient Mesopotamia. He has now moved on to shouting at a computer screen, sharpening endless pencils, and staring at a blank page of a Moleskine notebook. He lives in a mythical suburb of South London with his wife who is also a full-time muse.

Jonny Marx

Jonny Marx lives in London, where he works as a children’s book editor and author. From a compendium of mythical monsters and a chronology of prehistoric creatures, to books about crime capers, lost unicorns, incredible human beings and humankind, Jonny has worked on more than 60 titles (and counting!).

Jessica Courtney-Tickle

Jessica Courtney-Tickle is a freelance illustrator currently based in rural Cambridgeshire. She graduated from Kingston University in July 2014 where she found a specialism in picture book illustration. Her work combines vibrant colours with lots of detail and many different, quirky characters. Her love of nature and greenery can be seen in her illustrations of foliage which accompany much of her work.

Jessie Ford

Jessie lives in sunny Brighton, amongst seagulls and ice-creams, she can be found most days in her studio, surrounded by bits of cut up paper and colouring pencils. She likes stripy socks, Jaffa cakes, and has a raging addiction to Desert Island Discs.

Joe Lillington

Born in London and now based in Bristol, Joe Lillington graduated from University College Falmouth in 2014 and since leaving has had two titles published by Flying Eye Books, TOBY AND THE ICE GIANTS and NEFFY AND THE FEATHERED DINOSAURS.

Jonathan Woodward

Jonathan Woodward developed an interest in wildlife and art at an early age and is now an award-winning wildlife illustrator. Jonathan is passionate about conservation and the protection of wildlife and as the father of two young children, is proud to help pass this message on to the next generation.
